The Sims FTW! :D

You might have heard the game The Sims somewhere since it’s really kind of known to people as the best simulation game. If you haven’t, it is a game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts (EA Games) where you make your own character known as a Sim. You choose their looks, attitude and stuff. You basically build your own family and you can also build their house in any way you want and buy furniture. You control their lives and you do whatever you want with them. Make the other person their enemy, friend or lover. It’s a game where you can build your dream family and house and have fun. I guarantee you that it would be a fun game when you’re bored. It was first introduced to me by my cousin and I was 6 back then but as you see its age rating is for 12 years old and above. It really doesn’t matter as long as you know what you’re doing and I’m not saying that I know what I’m doing. I knew it was just game for fun and my cousin’s always with me. Back then it was just plain old Sims where you can still see the pixels and can’t zoom in much, in short, bad graphics. There are also little options of things to do but go to work and babies magically appear in a cradle. Then they had Makin’ Magic, Livin’ Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed and Superstar expansion packs which was a sign of development and it added more thrill to the plain Sims. The only Sims expansion packs I got to play were Makin’ Magic, Livin’ Large, Hot Date and Vacation in one. It allows you to make potions and stuff. You can buy small plumbobs (diamond thing above their heads) and it magically turns into a buffet, have a vacation with your family in a lot of places though it takes eons of time to load.  Two years after, it was 2004 when they released Sims 2. Sims 2 was a better version which allows you more things to do but still have limitations. A lot of new things were shown, from the new clothes to more actions with the Sims. I never had a chance to play the expansion packs for Sims 2 but I think it’s all pretty cool and more fun. Sims 2 expansion packs are University, Night Life, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Free Time, Apartment Life and Bon Voyage. As I have known and from the videos on Youtube, the expansion packs have more cool stuff, things to do and more career tracks. In the expansion packs you can make your Sims in the University: zombies, Nightlife: vampires, Open for Business: robots, Pets: werewolves, Seasons: Plant Sims (which are pretty cool), Bon Voyage: ape-like Sims, Apartment Life:  warlocks and witches. By that, it means more awesome actions like casting spells to your fellow Sims, own pets, get businesses and stuff. It was five years later that they released Sims 3, it was 2009. I tell you, it was more developed and complicatedly designed. You can own a car and navigate through the whole town in no time. Not like the older versions that it takes a lot of time to load to go to the town. Graphics were a lot better. You can zoom in ‘til you get in the face of your Sim. More choices of clothes and you can actually choose their make-up, put highlights in their hair and customize almost all the stuff like furniture. Sims 3 expansion packs are, World Adventures, Ambitions and Late Night. I also didn’t get to play those on PC version but I get to play the World Adventures and Ambition on my iPod Touch. The iPod version is not nearly like the PC version since it has limitations but at least I get to have a peek on what it’s like. I didn’t get to play a lot of the expansion packs because in this country it’s not easy to get copies. You can’t even get to see a copy in the malls in Manila. I tried; my dad and I tried but failed. The other reason was that it’ll take up a large amount of your PC memory because in Europe, they use supercomputer for The Sims. I once installed Sims 3 and my PC crashed, well, it survived. I swear to you that it’s the best simulation game. You wouldn’t notice you already spent half of the day playing it. :)

Love is a question mark.

Most teenagers like me already experienced love. I know that because my friends has but not me. Not 'til I graduate from college. I will do all my best to block that kind of distraction. It's better for Social Networking site and games to distract me but love? A resounding NO. In our world today, there are a lot of teenagers who's becoming pregnant and are facing their doom. That doom started with love, love started with a crush. They don't study anymore because they have to mother a child. Being a mother is not a joke, it's not that easy like you play in the game The Sims. Even in The Sims, it's also hard to take care a baby. You need to wake up to feed them in the middle of night and cradle them to let them fall asleep. Not to mention the money you need to spend for a baby. Teenagers who are mothers in a young age clearly doesn't have an income to buy the things a baby needs. Plus the regular check-up and immunizations of a baby is a must and it costs a lot. It's also sad to say that in our country, young teens that are working for extra money is being look down to. Not like in America, it's a normal stuff to do and they accept it. No discrimination. Being a young mother in this country is just hard. Yes, you might say that love do not always lead to pregnancy but I say, eventually it will. You will never guess unless you have a boyfriend that cares about both of your futures, really cares about you and truly loves you. He'll know the best for both of you if he's in the right mind. So yeah. Love is a question mark for me. It's not that I have no idea about what it is. I know a lot about that. I am fully aware of what can it do to a person. It can make you insane and really insane when a guy breaks your heart. I agree, it is a great feeling but I know it also can be the worst feeling in the world. So I'm weighing its pros and cons and decided it's still a question in my life. Love will define its meaning when I'm in the right age, when it's the right time and it is the right place. Right now, I'm just up to reading lovely quotes about love and appreciating it. Some of those quotes are not really reality though, unless as I said you found your Mr. 100% Right. I won't go beyond the quotes. For me, those are just words that ticks someone's fantasy for now. Until then, who knows?
